In Crime and Punishment, Raskolinov shows blame itself in a fantasy in which Ilya Petrovich cruelly beats his proprietor. This fantasy is a dream into Raskolinov’s enthusiastic aggravations and means hatred and dread.      Raskolinov’s dreams are constant clashes between his dim and scornful psyche and his still, small voice. His brain drives him to kill and swells his sense of self to cause him to feel as a â€Å"extraordinary man.† On the other hand, his still, small voice battles to frustrate these savage thought processes. Raskolinov’s mind is at fight with itself in a contention of ethics and defilement that is showed into the fantasy of the female horse.
